Love the original reference image from a 1981 photoshoot which I feel embodies Debbie Harry perfectly as a strong, powerful woman with an amazing stage presence. I can remember…ahem…being mesmerised by her on Top of the Pops in the early eighties. This portrait is 100cm x 50cm on canvas and is a mix of media. I used spray paint for the pink, charcoal for shading, acrylic for details and pen for Popeye on the t-shirt!
