Commissioned portrait of a CEO
This painting was commissioned in secret by the wife of this Gentleman’s son. It was a present to her husband to commemorate 50 years of his company that was set up by his late father. This was a very emotional present for him and I was delighted to hear how moved he was at the presentation. The portrait will hang in his office.
Steely Dan
A client commission of American rock band, Steely Dan. The client wanted them in their later years. Despite being destined to hang in his man cave… his wife (not a fan of Steely Dan) liked it so much it now hangs in their Lounge!
Star Trek Enterprise
I have the best clients! When one of my collectors asked me to create a painting of the U.S.S. Enterprise from Star Trek: The Next Generation I was only too happy to oblige! I love a challenge and this certainly was creating a Galaxy! The painting is based on the one Picard has hanging in his Ready Room in the series.
Hotel commission
I was asked by a client who has a couple of my paintings to create a wedding present for her Mum. The venue for the wedding is also her favourite hotel, Bailiffscourt Hotel in Sussex where the couple have stayed many times. So her daughter and sister felt it was the perfect wedding present to give them a watercolour painting of the Hotel.
Seven Singers
My client commissioned me to paint his seven favourite musicians on one canvas. The piece is titled ‘Martin’s Magnificent Seven’ and features Dolly Parton, Tina Turner, Celine Dion, George Michael, Shirley Bassey, Kylie Minogue and Cher. The painting is 100cm x 30cm on boxed canvas.
George Michael
Always a pleasure to paint a portrait of George Michael. He is one of my favourite musicians and I was lucky to see him live twice. The first time was the Faith tour dressed in the full leather jacket, ripped jeans and Raybans as featured in this painting. The client has commissioned the painting to give to her husband for his birthday! This George Michael painting is 70cm x 50cm acrylic on canvas.
Saab Viggen
I recently got to know the super talented guys at Malm when I bought one of their pilot watches. They design and manufacture amazing watches for the Swedish armed forces and then make editions of these available to the public.
Malm recently created a Viggen watch named after one of Sweden’s iconic fighter jets. They had some old panels from an original Viggen jet and commissioned me to create a couple of paintings on them to hang in their showroom. I really enjoyed this project being both a watch and military aircraft fan! It was a privilege to be trusted to paint on such rare parts of an iconic plane.
Porsche
A client asked me to make a painting of his new pride and joy, a stunning Porsche. This was a good challenge to create the China white paint finish of the car with reflections. The painting is 1m x 0.7m in acrylic on canvas and will hang in his newly renovated study alongside another big piece of mine, this Mercedes 300SL Gullwing.
