I was asked to paint a Pike for one of Sweden’s largest fishing competitions in Åtvidaberg which is celebrating its Jubilee in 2026. Over 120 teams from Sweden, Germany etc. will compete to catch the longest Pike (or Gädda in Swedish) in one day (and release it back into the water!). The winning team will receive my painting as part of their prize.

The first time (and probably the last!) I have painted a Pike! Think it has the right moody, menacing presence!
