Roger Moore 007
Next up on the James Bond project is Roger Moore. Despite being the Bond I grew up with I do find the Roger era a bit cheesy these days so I wasn’t planning to paint him this early in the project. However I spotted on eBay a set of the original Tarot cards from Live and Let Die which were made to promote the film in the early 1970s.
Having successfully bid for the cards I thought they’d make an excellent backdrop to a Roger Moore portrait. If you’re familiar with the film you’ll get the significance of the multiple ‘Lovers’ cards! I just hope that my random layout of the Tarot cards doesn’t mean something dramatic about my future!
The original painting is approximately 80cm x 60cm acrylic on board.
This painting is now sold.
