George Michael
Always a pleasure to paint a portrait of George Michael. He is one of my favourite musicians and I was lucky to see him live twice. The first time was the Faith tour dressed in the full leather jacket, ripped jeans and Raybans as featured in this painting. The client has commissioned the painting to give to her husband for his birthday! This George Michael painting is 70cm x 50cm acrylic on canvas.

George Michael portrait titled “Gotta have faith”. I was lucky enough to see George when he performed in London on the Faith tour in 1988… amazing gig. I saw him live three of four times in the nineties too. He was a fantastic artist – a real icon of his generation. Since his untimely death at Christmas I really wanted to paint a tribute portrait of him for a variety of reasons and I’m really proud of this painting. It’s acrylic on a 1m x 0.5m box canvas.
